Obama administration will pass the popular Cash for Clunkers program bill and authorize additional funding. But, the trade-in program remains uncertain. The Cash for Clunkers bill deatils, the U.S. Congress government has poured another one billion dollars on it to keep it on while there are those who say that it's a waste of tax payers money.
The Cash for Clunkers bill "should not offer excessive amounts of taxpayer dollars to woo people to take those new vehicles off the showroom floors." Some U.S. people are suggesting that it would be good to just keep the program but less benefit should be given $2,000.
According to CNN, The program support from Collins and Feinstein is a help to Democratic leaders who are struggling to gather 60 votes to pass a bill by week's end."The Congress appropriated and the president signed $1 billion," said White
House spokesman Robert Gibbs. "We think another $2 billion can take the program
through September and that it's a good thing."
