Toyota India has launched their Toyota 4x4 SUV Fortuner in India on 24th august 2009. The Toyota Fortuner is a pickup-truck-based passenger vehicle (PPV) produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota for some Asian, African and Latin American markets. It assembled in South Africa, Thailand and South America. The much awaited SUV from Toyota India is all set to roll out in India.
Toyota Fortuner was launched in 2005 and the company has sold 2.5 lakh units in over 60 countries ever since it was launched. The single variant Fortuner will be priced at Rs 18.45 lakh INR ex-showroom in Delhi. The Toyota Fortuner has succeeded to keep the price low beating against vehicle companies are Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi Outlander, Chevrolet Captiva, Suzuki Grand Vitara and Ford Endeavour.
