Jaipur Fire News - Fire Indian Oil Depot: 5 Dead, 160 Injured

Five persons have killed and more than 160 people injured in a massive fire broke out at Indian Oil Corporation’s fuel depot in Sanganer area in Jaipur on Thursday night. Many of the injured persons are critical condition.

Around 35 persons have been trapped inside the oil depot. People staying in the nearby areas have been asked to shift and move to other places. Two villages warned to one km radius have been asked to stay out.

The Jaipur blast broke out at 7:30 PM when petrol was being transferred from the depot to a pipeline in the outskirts of Jaipur. The Indian Oil depot contains around 80-90 lakh liters of fuel products. There are 70 ambulances have reached the spot and are taking the injured to the hospitals.

According to news report, Murli Deora, Petroleum Minister said, "The fire is massive. We are finding it difficult to douse it." Deora is on the way to Jaipur.
