Roxxxy is the world's first sex robot, the robot is a product of the New Jersey-based TrueCompanion company. The TrueCompanion founded by Douglas Hines, who worked as an artificial intelligence engineer at the Bell Labs. Roxxxy development cost between $500,000 and $1 million, and taken approximately 2½ years.
The Roxxxy robot is described as the "world's first life-size robotic girlfriend". Roxxxy made its public debut at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) in Las Vegas in January 2010. The Roxxxy height is 5 feet & 7 inches, and weight 120 pound gynoid has flesh-like synthetic skin and an artificial intelligence engine programmed to learn the owner's likes and dislikes.
Roxxxy is priced at $7,000 to $9,000 plus a separate subscription fee, and is currently offered for sale in the United States and Europe with plans for eventual global availability.
